Madison Part 2, the Zoo

One of the first attractions was the zoo. It is really cool because it is free and it is cool. We met up with the Hoberts there as they were visiting some friends of theirs on the same weekend. It was cloudy and slightly rainy but it did not dampen our fun.

Here are my male monkeys. Some of them make pretty good ape faces.

Midway in there is the great play area that provided places to climb, slide, pose, investigate.

Hannah helping Grace down the winding slide.

Isaac practicing his rock climbing skills.

Time for turtle poses.

Still in the play area here is Elizabeth and Grace crossing the upper bridge.

All our monkeys!

The Hobert kids seem to really like my girls. Love that.

There was a petting zoo and Grace was very brave. Look at how zealous this guy was as he climbs to reach the feed out of her little hand.

Now, just to prove that there really were animals (other than the ones belonging to the Hoberts and the Sterners) here are some of the friends we got to see.

Seriously, look at the doo on that face. Our Creator is creative.

Hannah's personal favorite.

This is really fascinating. These two were playing around by themselves and as soon as the one in front laid down the other one came and cuddled up right behind his friend. They was they started investigating one another was so human like. So much affection from one animal to another. Cool!

Can't remember what this guy was called but we coined him the skunk monkey. Crazy.

The one of Grace and the goat is hilarious how hungry he was!
