Catching Up---Scott's birthday

March 31st was Scott's birthday. Although we celebrated then, we brought out more goodies when his parent's came to visit in the first part of April. We really like making birthday's last as long as we can. :) Here is the traditional birthday cake photo. Even at 37 you're are not tool old for this photo op.

It is such a privilege to be married to this man. My faith is stronger and my understanding of the gospel so much clearer as he has modeled Christ-like unconditional love to me on such a deep deep level. It is easy to say that my love for him is far greater today than it ever has been. What a joy to walk this life's journey with him.

We're Back!

Life has been crazy around here, henceforth, blogging was put low on the priority list. The bonus in this is that now we have some photos stored up and catching up to do. I will be doing some jumping around in terms of time-line but we'll start with Easter. We had the privilege of having Scott's parent's here as well as his brother Paul and our niece Erika from Friday-Monday the weekend before.

Elizabeth had a friend over while Erika was here. Time for hair parlor.

Here are the kids and Scott's parents on Easter Sunday. We were having some lighting issuses so the picture has some clarity issues. You get the idea.

Scott was giving instructions before the Easter Egg hunt began. These were their faces, some of apathy, some of excitement, some of confusion, etc. This would never suffice.....

So, before they were unleashed to the outdoors they were instructed to give us faces of excitement and great anticipation. This is what we received. They were such good sports as you can see. It was either that or they just really really wanted candy! Apparently Isaac opted out of the silly game completely.

On the run!

It is tradition that after the hunt we come inside and go through the resurrection eggs. We usually try to make this an outreach to kids in the neighborhood or incorporate some friends. Last year our good friends the Malones were here. Missed you guys! I was a little disappointed that it appeared that there would be no "extras" this year. God was faithful! During the end of the hunt a couple boys "just happened" to drop by. I love God's timing. It was a ton of fun including them.

Scott has a child open one of the colored eggs according to the story of Christ triumphal entry and through his resurrection. Miss E was trying hard to contain herself as she is always eager to answer the questions (the puffed up cheeks give it away). Emily, some things don't change. :)

Even Amos was trying to get involved.....or get candy.
