The story as it goes is this: the three boys were back in the master bedroom when a strong feeling in my gut told me to go check on them (should have listened). Scott happen to be telling me something so I waited until........ I heard a cry that sent me running. I met up with Zach first who had blood all over his arm. He told me, "He's bleeding all over!"
Isaac happen to be the culprit of the new headboard on our bed given to us by some friends. You see the kids have played "timber" on my bed where someone stands towards the end and falls backwards (to those old enough, this would better be known as the Nestea Plunge). This was not a great idea in the first place but was a whole lot safer with only pillows and the wall to stand in their way. This activity has now been banned from the household list of acceptable games. According to Isaac however, all we need is more pillows. Not!
Poor Isaac got a laceration about an inch long that required yet another visit to Mercy ER. We really should get some kind of "frequent flier" type of bonus for as many times as we have passed through those doors (let's see: Aaron's ear, Elizabeth's head, Zach's chin, Isaac's head, Aaron's thumb, Elizabeth's chin, and now again, Isaac's head--somehow Hannah has managed to steer clear of the place praise the Lord--and this does not even count any from Ames or other out of state incidences!).
We left daddy to clean up the trail of blood on the carpet, to make sure everyone bathed, to help finish homework, to supervise the chores remaining before bed, and to have the house all picked up before we got home. He donned his apron and got the jobs done! I am so blessed.
Isaac did so well, again. He laid perfectly still as the doctor who happens to attend our church numbed everything up. Two tears and a bunch of giggles later (because we read Calvin and Hobbes between steps) we were out the door, good as new.
Here is the "free" beanie baby that I am sure is somewhere in the fine print of our bill. :)

Aaron admiring his brother's new prize.

Not really easy to photograph but you get the idea.

This is the poster the other children made for Isaac while he was getting sewn back together. They really are tenderhearted towards one another.

Me and the angels that work here are tired now and ready for bed so this is all for today. Tomorrow, another day, another story.
