Year Review--March Surprise Date

A week before Scott's birthday I decided to surprise him with a daytime date that included showing up at work in a new dress, kidnapping him, stealing him away for a fancy early dinner and time away for just the two of us. This was a first for me and will not be a last. Loved letting him know that he is my priority, that he's a gift to me, that I treasure the life God has given me with him, and that there is no one else that I would want to walk life's journey with this side of heaven. A memorable time for both of us.

Before heading out for dinner. Sushi it was!

Thanks to two very precious friends for your gift that made me feel so pretty that day. You humble and bless me time and time again. Love you both!

Year Review--Trip to Madison

It was time for a second trip to Madison to look at some houses. We also made sure we had time to sight see and play around. In Madison there are plenty of beautiful places to play, for sure.

Here's the gang. I am just so proud of them for their great attitudes and willingness to walk in obedience and to trust us and God in what He was asking of us.

Siblings but better yet, such close friends. This is not a pose. This is who they really are, still.

Aaron had fun here, appearing to be encaged.

My second beauty.

If there is love to be shared you can bet you will find Isaac around eager to participate.

Just a cool shot of Zach on a swing.

Such a cool dude.

Even with the biggest change in their lifetime ahead of them there was still "a bounce" in their step.

Much concentration on this little man's face as he was throwing rocks into the water. Boy did he need a hair cut. It amazes me how I didn't see that at the time....or I did and it wasn't high priority.

No matter who is together there is love between these kids. I shake my head in awe, truly.

Isaac manages to find some fun ways to hang around.

Now this is funny. In a park on the outskirts of McFarland there is what we refer to as "the spinny chair." It must be all about the angle but what seems to be simply a crooked seat is something that will make anyone spin to the point of immense dizziness. Hannah is first to give it a try.

I thought she was faking it so I had to give it a try. I too fell prey to dizziness.

I tried desperately not to show it. Fail!

Even big daddy couldn't win against this chair. Love this!

Here are the kids for one last picture before leaving the park. All I can say is that these guys amaze me and bless me time and time again. So proud of them.

Year Review--March Madness 2010

This is what a night at home looks like in our world. This evening it was piano playing, singing, dancing and wrestling. How does it always end this way, hmmmmm.

Not sure what is going on here but too cute not to post.

Ok, maybe I started this one. It did not end well for me.....

They all ganged up on me. This was not the end.

Can you say outnumbered? Thank goodness my man is strong and willing to protect me.

Somehow amidst the pyramid of bodies Aaron managed to get in the middle. Love that little man. Now the question remains, shouldn't the person behind the camera have come to my aid??????

Year Review-March 2010

AARON'S FIRST YEAR OF BASKETBALL

First grade was Aaron's exposure to bball, other than watching many many games. Here he was very into it.

Here, maybe not so much. Not sure what he was doing in his own little world. Maybe a victory dance of sorts.

I know these are poor quality but someday these will be fun to revisit when he is more serious about the sport. Again, more "movement" in his own direction.

"Hey look, my pants have pockets."

Year Review--February 2010

In order to get back into this I must be true to my type A personality and catch up in reverse. If you are at all A.D.D. this will work well for you. If you're up to hang on for a fast ride. So, here is a very quick pictorial to chronicle our crazy lives in 2010.

ZACH'S 13th BIRTHDAY

(It has been to long. I have no idea why he was the only one there or why we had to buy a cake from Walmart.....)

Stepping into manhood as he asked for his first bottle of cologne. After all, it is the jr. high years and any additional attention to body odor is good.

The men, checking it out.

Right of passage...dad sprays on the cologne.

The young man loves his tunes. This made him very happy.

The Bennett grandparents were there for a visit. Our former clipper kids.

Elizabeth and Basketball

It is no secret that I love basketball. It is then no disappointment that yet another child has taken a liking to the sport of hoops. Elizabeth got to participate on a competitive league for the first time this year. This afforded her tremendous opportunity for growth. She had a great coach and learned a lot!

Ode to Basketball....... (Hannah is my cool photographer in most of these shots)

Warming up with some free throws.

Don't you love how contorted the body can look when a still shot is taken while in motion.

Elizabeth did a great job, working hard on defense all the time.

Her team of girls and the patient man who investing in crafting their skills.

This shot is from the recreation league I coached her in. This is also one of her best buddies.

My last season of coaching here at CCA schools. It has been a lot of fun!

Bennetts Get Together

Ok, this is feeling really ridiculous now that it was nearly 60 today. I have to get caught up!

We were having some issues with lighting so these are not crisp and clear but at least it documents us all in 2009.

Here are my parents, Grandma Bennett, and all the kids. My how they've grown!

This is the family photo we gave Mom and Dad for Christmas.

Hannah with my brother Kelly.

The only girls on this side of the family means they find their way in front of the camera more than any one else. Why not when they have such great smiles!

The kids all got to play outside at my sister's house. They had a great great time! Here is Jared, "say what?"

Those crazy girls have so much fun together. Love seeing that.
