Flashback Several Weeks

My parents were able to visit once again over Labor Day weekend and as is tradition, we went to Wilson's orchard in search of some early honeycrisp apples, our favorite! Everyone had such fun and to our surprise there were tons to pick--early!

This is the shot we always take when we are finished. I posted it first because it is one that has everyone in it.


Here's my dad and the kids waiting for the tractor ride that takes us out to start picking.


Here is Mr. Wilson. My parents love chatting with this warm and gentle soul. This is his business but more than that this is his love and it shows. He is always full of smiles and jokes as he transports his apple-lovers around his beautiful property.





So much more than a 5 and a half year old man can carry!





The greatest part of picking is getting to eat as much as you want. We take full advantage.


On their visit here we also took our parents to the Raptor Center that houses wounded birds temporarily if they can be reintroduced into the wildlife or permanently if the injury cannot be rehabilitated. We didn't take a lot of pictures but as we were leaving the kids jumped up on these benches were group presentations are given and stuck a pose. They are all so shy and inhibited!
